About Junior College

The junior college wing of M. J. Jr. College has been renamed as ‘Swami Vivekanand Junior College' on the auspicious occasion of Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekanand, on 12th January 2016. The motive behind this 'new identity' is to inculcate the principles of Swami Vivekanand among the youth (i.e. patriotism, educational perspectives, scientific devotion, etc). Presently, in Swami Vivekanand Junior College, there are more than 3000 students pursuing their quality education in various streams including Arts, Commerce, Science & Vocational courses. For junior college, there is an independent, spacious infrastructure "Swami Vivekanand Bhavan" with all standard amenities like well equipped labs for concerned subjects, modern audio-visual equipments & classrooms. All these facilities are available under one roof. The dynamic team of teachers take efforts to keep students well informed & keep updating their knowledge. The students are also reciprocating by their good achievements in academic performance.
The college not only ensures academic development of students but also provides them with opportunities to prove themselves by means of extracurricular & co-curricular activities such as Arts association, Commerce association, Science association, Sports competitions, annual gathering and also the magazine ‘Yuva Spandan', etc. The college is committed to provide the students with an array of academic and student development services that support students' success in attaining their academic, spiritual and cultural achievements.


Quality Circle

'Quality Circle' has been established in college with a view to bring out quality improvement in college. This circle visits various sections and departments of College with an endeavor to find out chances of betterment in the performance of teachers as well as students. Open meetings of quality circle are arranged regularly. We have started remedial classes for Science & Commerce students also simultaneously we will be conducting test-series for XII students. For need students, English grammar classes also be conducted.

Moolji Jaitha College (Autonomous), established in 1945 and Swami Vivekanand Jr. College, established in 1976 have successfully carved their niche in the arena of higher education in Maharashtra. Known for their commitment for academic excellence and for raising, standards of higher education, the Swami Vivekanand Jr. college, aims at equipping the students with appropriate theoretical knowledge, adequate practical exposure and developing in them the 'ability to think'. We have been bestowed with the prestigious 'A' grade status successfully for three times by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Recently the college has been declared autonomous status by UGC. We strongly believe that our primary stake holders are students and also understands the geographic, socio—demographic, economic and educational background of the student from Khandesh region. The institution is mainly concerned about the welfare, as well as the intellectual development of our stakeholders and hence we provide value education, coaching and remedial classes besides establishing platforms for community development, state-of-the-art, sports infrastructure, Computer and networking centre, extensional co-curricular activities, women's welfare centre, etc.

It's due to such dedication that the University Grants Commission has also conferred the status of College with Potential for Excellence (CPE), College of Excellence and Star College to the M.J. College.

The educational reforms by our college have made the college holistically efficient and credible both, at the academic and administrative levels. College History

The opening of KCE Society’s Junior College has been started since 1976. the junior college has started the streams – Arts, Science and Commerce. The new ideology has been added in the periphery of Khandesh in the education field with the existence of this college in post – independence period. The spiritual foundation has been adopted to the educational and ideology in 2010 with the new name to the college. On 12th Junuary 2016, M. J. Jr. College has been recognized with the new name Swami Vivekanand Junior College.

The then India’s President and Ex.Student Sau. Prathibhatai Patil has inaugurated the new building ‘Swami Vivekanand Bhavan’ for Junior College on 24 March 2012. the teaching of all the necessary faculties, for Junior College is being taught in Swami Vivekanand Junior College. Swami Vivekanand Junior College is bound to develop the students with well equipped facilities such as Science Laboratories, Computer Laboratories, swimming pool, library, an extended ground, the independent centre for the training of sports and exercise, ‘expert, experienced and trained teachers’. The management board which is visionary and giving the importance to the life values. More than 3500 students are seeking the education from Arts, Science and Commerce faculties.
